Global Terrestrial Water Storage Reconstruction Using Cyclostationary Empirical Orthogonal Functions (1979–2020)

چکیده
Terrestrial water storage (TWS) anomalies derived from the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) mission have been useful for several earth science applications, ranging global system studies to regional management. However, relatively short record of GRACE has limited its use in understanding climate-driven interannual-to-decadal variability TWS. Targeting these timescales, we used novel method cyclostationary empirical orthogonal functions (CSEOFs) common modes TWS with precipitation temperature reconstruct 1979–2020. Using same variability, also provide a realistic, time-varying uncertainty estimate reconstructed The interannual resulting is consistent space time, links variations ones. In particular, highlight improvements representation ENSO when compared other available reconstructions.

متن کاملModeling impulse response using Empirical Orthogonal Functions
There is a growing need for acoustic channel simulators. Among the reasons for this is the increased interest in underwater acoustic communications, but also the fact that measuring the characteristics of the underwater channel is very expensive. A channel simulator provides access to realistic channels, and allows us to compare algorithms and modulations under identical conditions. Channel sim...
متن کاملGlobal terrestrial water storage connectivity revealed using complex climate network analyses
Terrestrial water storage (TWS) exerts a key control in global water, energy, and biogeochemical cycles. Although certain causal relationship exists between precipitation and TWS, the latter quantity also reflects impacts of anthropogenic activities. Thus, quantification of the spatial patterns of TWS will not only help to understand feedbacks between climate dynamics and the hydrologic cycle, ...

drastic is known as the most prototype models of groundwater vulnerability assessment. the drastic constitutes from seven schematic parameters consisting: depth to groundwater, recharge to aquifer, aquifer geology, and surface soil texture, impact of vadoze zone and hydraulic conductivity. in this study the models parameters were extracted by the main schematic maps of model. instead using the ...
